Structural panel markets were a mixed bag. Hand-to-mouth purchasing
by dealers kept a steady flow of orders coming back to OSB mills. This
was sufficient in most cases to keep sales in step with production.
Southern Pine plywood producers and their customers couldn't agree on
price trends. The result was no consensus on rated sheathing, with
prices reported at the end of the week covering extremely wide ranges.
Western Fir plywood buyers replenished sheathing more actively, but
still in small, mixed loads, as they perceived limited downside risk.
