Mest Limited is a company incorporated in Zambia . The company, which is privately owned, has its head office centrally situated in the city of Kitwe the hub of mining and engineering in Zambia. In the last three years the company has made substantial improvements in the supply of various quality products and accessories. making Mest Limited a reliable provider of Polymer Products, Hardware,Timber processing, Steel Products, Protective clothing, Stationery, Industrial, Electrical, Domestic & Office Equipment, Motor Vehicle Spare parts and repairs .
to the mining industry and the rest of the Copperbelt markets.

PRODUCTION(TIMBER PROCESSING)
Mest Limited has its main production plant the Kitwe plant comprises a fully-fledged Soft Timber processing plant where production of various Timber sizes for different applications is carried out. The Timber Processing plant supplies timber for all the timber works as well as the construction industry. Mest Limited has the capacity to supply any timber requirements. The monthly production capacity is 12,000 pieces per month. We maintain a skeleton production team of 15 experienced employees

departments to mining companies all round the copperbelt province. The company’s major objective is to be the best provider of quality products in the country using highly qualified and skilled personnel. The Mest Limited sales team is on the spot and at hand visiting all customers to provide technical product support and after sales services to the market. The company through its sales and prudent support team provides easy access to customers in most parts of the copperbelt hence the company has had the opportunity of dealing with diverse markets and has arisen to the challenge very successfully.

Currently the company is a reliable business partner to Mopani Copper Mines, Konkola Copper Mines, Chambishi Copper Mines, NFC Africa Mining Corp. Government Departments , Schools and Hospitals and is handling major supplies including Construction Companies like Minestone , CTS Limited , Discount steel and Macsteel Zambia. The company is also working very closely with some mining contractors involved in construction works.

QUALITY CONTROL
Every stage of sales or production vigorous quality control measures for all products are observed in order meet customer acceptable standards.. A quality assurance team and system is in place and has proved very effective as evidenced by the almost nil failure rates and quick response to customer queries for good supplied for various purposes.

QUALITY ACCREDITATION
A program with the Zambian Bureau of Standards (ZABS) is in place intended to get SABS. The company has engaged a highly experienced and trained Production Manager whose initial task will be to get Mest Limited to ISO accreditation standards.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Research and Development has already been finalized and the company has this year introduced new products. Among the development projects to be carried out is to find a company to partner with for distribution or agency relationship for office Equipment and accessories. The following ranges products and accessory products are being launched on the market by mid year 2005 to meet the different applications of the end users.

FUTURE OBJECTIVES
With the current product development plan underway, Mest Limited is widening the market for office equipment and stationery including accessories and also focusing its resources towards the exploitation of Timber industry and industrial timber products market, hence substantial resources are being ploughed in the investment of plant refurbishment, maintenance
and enhancing the quality of the end products to be among the best in the region. As a result of this sums of money are being spent on manpower training and development, aimed at enhancement of staff skills.

Discussions are also underway with a foreign technical partner to introduce
foreign market penetration and other non Timber products September 2004.

Furthermore the company would also like to widen its income base by getting involved in the dealers/distributorship of other foreign companies?products because of the good network system the company has within the country.
