The company was founded in Chisinau in July 1966 as a state owned woodworking factory mainly to provide the principal constructions with the wood articles. In 1994, as a part of the privatization process in the Republic of Moldova, the shares were sold to private investors and the company抯 name was changed to 揟implarul?S.A..
The factory was designed as an integral industrial complex. It was equiped for the complete wood processing cycle and at the present moment dispose of the following:
- railway line and crane that allow to receive the raw material directly at the factory;
- headrig for the raw wood processing;
- drying facilities with boiler-house;
- manufacturing shop floors.
The technological process includes all the stages of wood manufacturing: frame sawing, drying, manufacturing of the elements and different wood articles, polishing, painting, packaging and dispatching.
The total production space of the plant is 5 290 m2. It comprises two production sections and four auxilary sections. The technological equipment includes saw mill, wood drying rooms with total space of 350 m3, four-faced plane machine, multiblade hade-saw, warm and cold pressing, finishing off devices, painting rooms, etc. All that allow to process about 5 000 m3 of wood per year. The annual production capacity of the plant is as follows:
- lumbers ?3 000 m2
- windows ?60 000 m2
- doors ?110 000 m2
During more than 35 years of the enterprise抯 activity its staff has accumulated a rich tradition and experience in wood manufacturing. Today we offer to our clients the best products from ecologically pure raw material that can be utilized in lodging抯 garnishing and the assembly of the different articles made of various species of wood such as conifers, oak, ash, cherry, nut-trees, etc. Being the woodworking company from the Republic of Moldova we provide the main state and private constructions with the doors, windows and other wood articles.
The company抯 main target is to implement new products that will meet the growing requirements of the domestic and foreign clients and to enlarge the cooperation activity with the companies from the Europe and other countries. - unconditional and permanent access to the raw material from Moldova, Romania and the CIS countries because of the experience, historic relations with partners from Russia and the Ukraine, good knowledge of the market and mentality;
- cheap labor power;

- low entering tax to the EC countries for the importers from Moldova.
At the present moment due to the small internal market the company use only 25%-28% of its capacity.

POSSIBILITIES OF COLLABORATION
WITH FOREIGN COMPANIES

I Cooperation in the field of manufacturing of the wood articles and their selling on the existing CIS
markets.

II Production on the basis of give and take material (possible procurement of the raw material
from Russia).

III Joint stock company for the production of the semifinished products and elements for further
selling on the European markets (raw material will be purchased from the CIS countries).

The main aim of such cooperaton is the cost reducing of the products. It can be achieved due to
the following factors:
- relatively cheap labor force combined with the high qualification of the specialists
- more than 35 year experience in the woodworking industry
- preferential taxes for the Moldavian products imported to the CIS countries.
