LumberBras Ltda., is a Brazilian Company located in north of Brazil, at Ananindeua, Par?which manufactures tropical hardwoods products following to the Italian standards of quality since August of 2001.
We are confident that we can provide you the best quality in hardwood products available in Brazil. Our advantage over competition is given not only on the machinery that we use but, also on the expertise of our production managers from Italy, and our local lumber classifiers. Our products are always produced implementing a good quality control during the production process therefore we can assure you products of superior quality at competitive prices. 1 - Production capacity: Due to the current capacity of our kilns , our operational capacity is of 44 containers / month being: 24 containers / month of flooring unfinished (square edge and/or micro bevel) and 20 containers / month of deck AD . BRASILIAN TEAK dipterix odorata TOBACCO MUIRACATIARA TIGERWOOD Astronium leicintei duke LIGHT RED SUCUPIRA TIETE CHESTNUT bowdichia spp DARK BROWN MUIRAPIRANGA BLOOD WOOD brosimum spp DARK RED ANDIROBA BRAZILIAN CHERRY LITE Carapa guianensis LIGHT BROWN 3 - Production structure: Our current production structure is composed of: - 7 cells of kilns with capacity of 60 m3 of sawed wood - 2 lines of flooring production with: 4 sides moulder/ Leadermac , 7 spindle moulder/Dambroz (special project), double end tenoner programmable HIPOINT, double end tenoner / Celaschi and optimised wood cutting machine and machine programmable / OMGA. - 1 line for decking production that uses a 6 axes moulder/ DAMBROZ and a sander machine /VIET. We also use other machines in our productive process as: thickness moulder, retifier moulder, band-saw, etc. 4 - Wood purchase: The purchase of the sawed wood is made mainly in the south area of the Para ( that understands the area from Altamira to New Progress, PA), state of Amazon, state of Rond鬾ia. The most important suppliers are registered in our company and have been working with us for a long time and all the sawed wood bought is legal and properly documented. The wood is bought sawed with measure and suitable quality conditions for the production of the desired product. The contacts for purchase of sawed wood are made directly from our office in Ananindeua, PA and monthly it is made a supervision "in loco" by the employee responsible for the purchase and occasionally we use some wood buyers ("free-lancers") in the area. 5- LumberBras dedicates a special concern to the environment conservation acquiring sawed wood for industrialization exclusively from a few sawmills which makes the wood extraction properly, through regular plans of wood extraction, according to the Brazilian environmental legislation and also to the Brazilian strict guidelines for responsible forestry management, guaranteeing the origin of the wood and motivating the maintainable management of the forest. 6 - Quality control: The whole wood destined to the flooring production runs trough of the following process: 6.1 - control and grading of each load of sawed wood that is received by LumberBras. 6.2 - after the grading process , the suitable wood volume for our production demand is prepared to be dried and goes to kilns. 6.3 - after the drying process, the sawed wood is moved to the production line, that usually begins with the process to uniformize the measures "S4S", afterward the wood will be profiled in the final measure of the product. After the wood ran in the moulder is made a careful control of the measures and a detailed control of the defects, piece by piece. The wood which does not present any defects is moved to the double end tenoner and after it is moved to the of the packing section; the wood that presents defects is separated to be cuted out and optimized, after the optimization it is moved to the double end tenoner and moved to the packing section. 6.4 - Quality control: 6.4.1 - DRYING: During the drying process it is made a complete and continuous control of the moisture of the pieces, in the exit of the kilns it is made a further and complete control of the moisture, other moisture controls above significant samples are made during productive process and in the packing process. 6.4.2 - CONTROL OF THE MEASURES It is made a frequent control of all the measures of the profile. 6.4.3 - QUALITY CONTROL: The quality control is made in the exit of the moulder process and the pieces with defect are separated. A 2nd control of the defects for cut demarcation and elimination of the defects is made in the entrance of the optimizer. A third quality control is made in the exit of the double end tenoner and it is made the last quality control during the packing process. We also produce the "Antique flooring" which is a hand-scraped material (Versailles patterns, ancient looking planks, and herringbones slat) produced following original techniques used in Italy for centuries for special projects, especially for the European market. |
