# Species Usage
1 Pterocarpus Angolenses (Mukwa)

(USD850/m3) The heartwood varies from pale golden brown to rich purple brown. Very durable and stable. Works easily and is good for furniture. High class joinery, Turnery, Parquet flooring, Decks and Boat building.
2 Erythrophileum Africanum (Kayimbi )

(USD850/m3) The reddish-brown wood is very hard, heavy, and difficult to work; but is very resistant to borers and termites. It makes handsome furniture, flooring, decks, mining timber and rail sleepers.
3 Pericopsis Angelensis (Mubanga)
(USD850/m3) The wood is yellow-brown to grey-brown occasionally. It is hard, heavy and very durable. Turns well, has a beautiful finish and takes a high polish. It is also good for carving.
4 Afzelia Quanzensis (Mupapa)
(USD850/m3) The wood is light reddish brown to golden brown, heavy, hard, strong and durable and has been widely used for bridges, housing and canoes. It makes handsome though rather heavy furniture.
5 Albizia Antunesiana (Musase)
(USD850/m3) The heartwood is dark brown to coffee brown, Works easily and is durable. It is good for furniture and is been widely used for carving.
6 Gusbertia Coleosperma (Rosewood)
(USD850/m3) The heartwood varies from red brown to orange brown and is very durable. Works easily and is good for furniture, turnery and parquet flooring.
7 Ebony
(USD2,500/m3) The heartwood varies from dark grey to black. Easy to work and very good for furniture, turnery and parquet flooring.
