Paulownia is mostly free from knots and has the feel and look of spun silk. Its characteristics of rot resistance and a very high ignition point are increasing the popularity of this wood in the world market and especially in Japan where Paulownia is used to produce furniture components, handicrafts, veneer and moldings. In recent years, Paulownia has been used to replace pine for cornice and moldings in the United States. | |||
