Due to good heat conduction between heated plate, the wood gets heated very quickly. Under a specied vacuum pressure, the boiling point of water is lowered to below 60 degrees C. The wood mositure change into vapour phase and evaporates quickly. And hence faster drying at low temperature with no defects. Drying time for very hard wood of 50 mm takes only 3 to 4 days, while using conventional drying takes more than 2 weeks. | |||
