Brazilian furniture industry is another segment that has reason to
celebrate. Estimates for furniture exports in 2004 are coming in at US$824
million, an increase of 37compared to 2003 revenues. Efforts by the
Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (APEX) and the Brazilian Program for the
Promotion of Furniture Exports (PROMOVEL) contributed to the impressive
gains made by the furniture industry.
