Brazil
The greatest price fluctuations in the domestic market
have been for reconstituted wood-based panels, particularly MDF and
particleboard.
These price movements reflect the increased activity in
the furniture industry in Brazil. However, analysts suggest there will be a
cooling of furniture sector activity early 2004, which should result in a
fall in wood-based panel prices, perhaps taking them to back to levels seen
in mid 2003.
