Jicai Tong international timber trading platform
operational in Heze City
The 2025 Jicai Tong International Timber Trading
Platform Release Conference was held recently in Heze
City of Shandong province marking the official operation
of the platform. This is not only an innovative move by
Heze city in exploring the digital transformation of the
wood industry but also a key measure to remove industrial
bottlenecks, optimise resource allocation and enhance the
overall efficiency of the industry.
"Jicai Tong" takes digital technology as its core driving
force, focuses on the demands of the entire wood industry
chain and builds a one-stop service system of "supply and
demand matching + logistics transportation + policy
implementation", helping the industry upgrade towards
digitalisation, intelligence and greenness and providing
strong support for enterprises to reduce costs, increase
efficiency and enhance market competitiveness.
In terms of supply and demand matching the platform
relies on big data and artificial intelligence technologies to
integrate global wood market supply and demand
information and build an efficient online trading channel.
Enterprises can keep abreast of the dynamics of domestic
and international markets in real time, achieve precise
matching of supply and demand, break through
geographical restrictions, expand market space and
effectively solve the pain points of information asymmetry
and low circulation efficiency in traditional transactions.
In terms of logistics and transportation the platform has
deeply cooperated with multiple logistics enterprises to
build an intelligent logistics management system. The
system can track the entire process of wood transportation
in real time, optimise transportation routes, rationally
allocate resources and achieve the maximisation of
logistics efficiency and the reduction of costs. Supporting
logistics financial services can relieve the pressure on
enterprises' capital turnover and reduce operational risks.

Chuan-Shanxi-Gansu international timber trade centre
The Sichuan-Shanxi-Gansu International Timber Trade
Center was inaugurated and put into operation in the
Green Home Industry City of the Western China
(Guangyuan City of Sichuan Province). On the same day
the international timber freight routes Russia - Guangyuan
and New Zealand - Guangyuan were successfully
launched.
The Russia - Guangyuan and New Zealand - Guangyuan
international timber freight routes mainly carry wood
panels and sawnwood from Russia and New Zealand for
the production of furniture, construction, flooring and
other wood products.
After calculation, the comprehensive logistics cost of the
two international timber freight routes can be reduced by
more than 50% after enjoying the subsidy policies of
various regions in combination.
The successful launch highlights that Guangyuan City has
opened up international channels for importing timber
from Russia and New Zealand which is of great
significance for Guangyuan City to build itself into a
modern bulk commodity logistics centre in western China
and to develop into a national logistics hub carrier city.
Guangyuan City aims to achieve a monthly timber trade
volume of 50,000 cubic metres and a trade value
exceeding RM100 million by the end of 2025. By 2027,
the Sichuan-Shaanxi-Gansu International Timber Trade
Center will have 3 leading timber trade enterprises and 75
timber dealers in place achieving a timber trade volume of
1.5 million cubic metres with a trade value exceeding
RMB3 billion.
