Trade-Linc. is a Trading and Manufacturing Co. trading Tropical Hardwoods from Guyana and Brazil. At the moment we are selling Logs, Piles and Sawn Lumber. We have a close association with most of the samller millers and loggers in Guyana

Sawn Lumber for flooring, Decking, Railway Sleepers, molding and construction (housing and marine).

We are working to achieve some level of certification for our small Guyana loggers. We are in discussion with World Wild Life Fund and Tropical Forest Foundation. We are working toward certifying loggers in Reduced Impact Logging and Chain of Custody. In addition the Guyana Forestry Commission will certify that their forest management standards are the same as FSC. The Tropical Forest has just begun a Reduced Impact Logging/Chain of Custody training program in Guyana.

We will be requiring our loggers to attend this program. Chain of Custody assures the customer that the logs are not stolen. Reduced Impact Logging teaches techniques that minimize impact on the forest. And finally, the Forestry Commission requires each logger to file an annual forestry plan.

Reduced Impact Logging Training + Chain of Custody Training + Government Standards = Good Forestry Products from Guyana.

The above approach is being accepted by some buyers in the USA as an interim step toward FSC.
