Holzbau Maresch GmbH

The Company Holzbau Maresch Gmbh was founded in 1928 by Mr. Maresch.
We have two sawmills. One is directly in Retz; the second is 8 km outside of Retz in a village called Niederfladnitz. Retz is a small town situated 90 km northwest of Vienna.
In Retz, our main production site, we have a new profiling chipper line of the highest technological standard and a capacity of up to 600.000 qm / year. We cut mainly spruce timber, but during the winter months also pine, up do a diameter of ~ 40 cm.
Our production in Niederfladnitz is a gatter where we cut softwood, as spruce, pine and larch logs, up to a diameter of 60 cm and a quantity of ~ 50.000 qm / year.

To a high degree the quality of the finished product depends on the raw material used for production. We purchase our logs in Austria and from the surrounding countries. We always looking for stable suppliers.
Our assortment of sawn softwood in green condition goes from timber for

- further processing industry
- housing construction
- pre-fabricated houses
- building industry
- packing industry

We also work out special opening cuts for our customers in nearly all required sizes, and next year we also have the possibility to deliver our lumber in kiln-dried condition.
