NHG Timber Ltd is a UK based family business sourcing Tropical and Temperate Hardwoods as well as Softwood Clears. The company was founded in 1981 by Nick Goodwin on his return from seven years living and working in the timber trade in West Africa. The knowledge and experience acquired during this time led to a natural specialisation in West African Hardwoods which remains the core of the business today. We offer bespoke services to our buyers and suppliers, providing practical business solutions to accommodate differing requirements. Understanding the business needs of both our buyers and suppliers is an integral part of developing long term relationships which is always our ultimate goal.

Since its inception in 1981, NHG has developed into a leading international trader of hardwoods. Although the heart of our business remains West Africa our traders also source from Europe, North and South America and the Far East. We are proud of the fact that over the years we have sold into 65 different countries, providing our suppliers a diverse portfolio of markets in which to sell a range of species, specifications and grades.
