Bonet Woods and Papers Ltd

The group began in the mid-1930s with the installation of a sawmill on the Santa Catarina plateau, specifically in the city of Santa Cec¨ªlia, Santa Catarina.

The pioneering spirit of the founders went further and, in 1948, the company began its commercial relations with the Latin American and European markets, exporting sawn wood and directing all its production to its consumer centers for a long time.

Just four years after the new business expansion, Bonet inaugurated Empresa de Papelão Santa Cec¨ªlia SA, with its own generation of energy through its hydroelectric plants in Santa Cec¨ªlia.

Looking to the future, Bonet already predicted that the environment and well-kept and preserved natural resources would guarantee the future of the planet and, continuing its evolution, in 1962 inaugurated its industrial unit for manufacturing duplex cardboard for packaging in the locality of Buriti, in Timb¨® Grande (SC). The place was characterized by its great hydraulic potential, with a favorable climate and vocation for the cultivation of pine, the main raw material in the production of paper.
From 1976 onwards, the group began a new phase of investments and growth by inaugurating a unit for the manufacture of agglomerated wood sheets, with equipment imported directly from Germany and with superior quality than that produced at the time.

In 1980, Bonet Reflorestamento Ltda. Its mission is to implement and develop afforestation and reforestation projects in an area exceeding 10,000 ha., maintaining uniformity and constancy in the production of raw materials and at the same time ensuring ecological balance in the regions where it operates.
Installed on the Santa Catarina plateau, headquartered in the city of Santa Cec¨ªlia-SC, the Bonet group has an area of ​​over 743,000m2 where its two units are installed.
