TA Trading is a company in Suriname which aim is to provide a substantial
contribution to the international wood market.
We are an enterprise who works at:
_ The save winning of round timber in Surinamese concessions.
_ The logistic from the inland to the city, over water and road.
_ The processing of round wood to sawn and plane wood.
_ The preparation of sawn wood, plane boards and final products of timber for exports.
_ The service of the logistic passage to our worldwide customers.

1. The save winning of round wood in Surinamese Concession
The international trade of wood has changed sharply over the past fifteen years and for us this
is a good thing. Nowadays people prefer durable forestry instead of cutting down total areas of wood.
We see durable forestry shortly as follows
_ Make sure that when timber felling, the forest recovers within 30 years _in the long term
a good controlled forest is an inexhaustible source of nature.
_ Make sure you control the forest of the pointed areas, till the forest step by step,
hectare after hectare so you can use your own infrastructure efficiently.
_ Pay respects to the local inhabitants of the forest area both animals and human being.
_ Treat the people who work for you with respect.
_ Produce only in countries with a plain and durable forestry policy on behalf of the government.

TA Trading is already active in the West and the East of Suriname.
We are originated out of a group of entrepreneurs who already had 25 years experience in
tropical countries.

Our timber company contains:

Several tow machines with a joint capacity of 10 ? 20.000m?round woods per year.
Our own trucks and shovels to transport the wood to the city or river for transport.
Several cranes to load and unload the round wood.
Our own tug with barges to transport the wood via waterways to the different production units.

Our team of experienced forest workers is capable of making an inventory of wood areas and to work
them.



Round wood trading:

TA Trading can provide international sawmills the sources they need.
If it is for production of plywood or parquet floors, the Surinamese wood species are suitable for
many different end products.
Important round wood markets in which we have experience are: Caribbean, South Europe and China
Also important export products are square Basra locus poles (cut out of a log) for marine
constructions.

2. The process of round wood to sawn and planed product
The saw up of wood is a craft. We attend to a correct serrated edge, accuracy of the desired sizes
with a margin of maximum 1mm and the concern that the product is tension free. Our modern sawmills
in the industrial area of Paramaribo, situated at the Saramacca doorsteek, as well as a couple partners
sawmills ensure a good capacity and quality. Our own quality inspectors make sure that the best wood
is exported. The remaining wood is used for pallet wood for the banana industry as well as the local
market. Through this strategy we can offer compatible prices, a high percentage of the trunk is used
for commercial market
Except the saw of wood, we can also plane and dry, in accordance with the desire of the client.

3. Make round, sawn and planed wood ready for exports as well as final product of wood
When opening the container the client expects a very well packed product with all the required
documents. Our specialized employee takes care of:

Packing of the wood in the size of a container so the cargo space can be utilized.
Where necessary, we will provide for rakes to put in between so the would can breathe
and shrink.
Fumigation by means of gas tablets if desirable. A phytosanitaire certificate from the ministry
of farming will support the export cargo.
Clearance in accordance with the in the country of production?s valid law and under
supervision of the forest authorities.
Transport to the port and congestion of wood in a container or ship.
The dispatch of packing lists so the client knows exactly what he receives.
The attend to more weekly order status from the moment of order until delivery at the port.
The requirement for favourable loading rates. Because of our frequent cooperation with various
shipping rates, shipping companies and our yearly volume of exports we are capable to
present the best
