Flooring Industries is the Luxembourg based intellectual property company within the Unilin Group that grants licenses with regard to Unilin抯 patent rights. Most of the patent rights deal with Unilin抯 patented click technology, including the so-called Uniclic? This technology has been a revolution in the flooring world, because for the first time in flooring history (1996) a click system was milled directly in the core material of the flooring board. Flooring Industries also licenses other Unilin patents that deal with other technologies related to flooring. To date, Flooring Industries manages more than 500 patents in over 60 patent families.
